This position’s primary responsibilities are to configure, implement, maintain, upgrade and provide ongoing systems support of SERA’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), which is Deltek for Professional Services (DPS), as well as for SERA’s file and document solution, which is Deltek Project Information Management (PIM). The Administrator works closely with Finance & Accounting, Marketing, Staffing, Senior Project Managers, and Construction Administration staff to promote accuracy and consistency of data concerning the firm’s financial, business development, project management, and staffing functions.

Job Title: ERP Administrator 
Supervisor: Director of Operations 
FLSA: Exempt 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensures the performance and reliability of DPS and PIM systems.
  2. Analyzes, diagnoses, resolves, and reports on application systems problems and ensures effective problem determination and resolution.
  3. Deliver support to end users to resolve problems and or respond to questions related to the operation of ERP software.
  4. Provide general administration of the ERP systems both on premise and cloud hosted.
  5. Manage projects related to ERP and related systems, including expansions or upgrades.
  6. Monitor and ensure the effective operation of the ERP system and related software.
  7. Provide Tier 1 and 2 end user support both on premise and remotely.
  8. Lead any required troubleshooting efforts with the software vendors.
  9. Deploy, monitor and maintain data security of the databases.
  10. Work with the Information Technology department to design a consistent backup and disaster recovery process for the ERP systems.
  11. Coordinate new software releases, fixes, and upgrades with technical teams and users.
  12. Recommend new features or changes to configuration and workflows based on business-user feedback.
  13. Develop customized reports, dashboards, or other data summary tools.
  14. Participate in all system tests, analyze data and processes and recommend improvements.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience 

  • 5+ years of database administration or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing ERP systems (Deltek Vision, Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP).
  • 3 years of active Deltek Vision experience preferred.
  • 3+ years Microsoft SQL Experience preferred.
  • Expertise in data analysis, creating dashboards, and report building with SSRS.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with AWS / Azure hosting platforms.
  • Proficiency with relevant business systems, operating systems, and servers.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with information technology auditors regarding system security, maintenance, and controls.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks with a high attention to detail in a fast-paced small business environment.
  • Previous installation experience with various applications/modules.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft - SharePoint and Office.
  • Experience administering Microsoft SQL server.
  • Strong SQL Query writing skills.
  • Solid knowledge of and experience with SQL security best practices.
  • Experience developing training material and delivering training to staff.
  • Ability to read and interpret accounting/financial documents.
  • Strong ability to write effective reports and correspondence.
  • Advanced understanding of SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable in project-oriented environment.
